Vice President of Workforce Development – Ian Fletcher

As Interim Senior Director of Workforce Development, Ian manages the Chamber's contract with FloridaWorks, as well as the Business Services team of five staff members. He addresses recruitment, placement and training issues for employers in Alachua County and facilitates FloridaWorks' business and community partnerships.

Ian has more than 20 years experience in service leadership and management with a focus on business/client relations. He is currently chair of the Gainesville Alachua County Regional Airport Authority, member of the Small Business Council and member of Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association. He is a former director of East Gainesville Development Corporation, chair of AMIKids, and board and dean of Leadership Gainesville Class 33.

Director of Business Services – Joe Johnson

As the Director of Business Services, Joe develops relationships with human resources directors and area businesses, discussing FloridaWorks services, encouraging them to post their job openings on the Employ Florida Marketplace and educating them about available employee training grants. He participates in a weekly radio show, Job Talk, through the Florida Employers Advisory Council (FEAC), during which he promotes FloridaWorks, current job openings, and the resources available through the Employ Florida Marketplace.

Joe also serves on the FloridaWorks High Skills/High Wages Committee and is a member of the North Central Florida Society for Human Resource Management, the Business Leadership Network, FEAC, the Peaceful Paths Domestic Abuse Network Board of Directors and Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association.

Business Services Representative - Arelis Rosario-Roldan

As a Business Services Representative, Arelis works directly with employers to post their job openings on the Employ Florida Marketplace and matches qualified applicants to those job openings. Arelis also introduces employers to other services available to them through FloridaWorks. In doing so, Arelis develops relationships with area human resources directors and business owners, learning about their needs and how FloridaWorks Business Services can help meet them.

Employer Services Representative – Steve Van Hamersveld

As an Employer Services Representative, Steve assists employers who call or come into FloridaWorks Gainesville One-Stop Career Center. He provides information on FloridaWorks' services and the ease with which EmployFlorida can help fill job openings. He enters employers' job orders on the Employ Florida Marketplace and reviews all job orders entered directly by employers for completeness and any applicable regulations. Steve creates a weekly "Hot Jobs" list to assist employers in filling their immediate needs. Steve also helps manage targeted hiring events and job order follow-up, ensuring that all job order information on the Employ Florida Marketplace is accurate and up-to-date. Steve also works with the rest of the Business Services team to match qualified applicants with current job openings.

Employer Services Representative - Saskia Niekoop

As an Employer Services Representative, Saskia assists area business owners and human resources professionals with a variety of FloridaWorks' services. She maintains a database of referrals and job orders; reviews employer job order entries for quality assurance; and assists with coordinating job fairs, targeted hiring events and other job development activities. Saskia brings three years of Human Resources experience to the team. Her experience includes recruiting, career counseling, job development, job-coaching, marketing, public speaking and training/development.

Administrative Assistant/Communications Manager – Shareen Baptiste

As the Administrative Assistant & Communications Manager for FloridaWorks Business Services, Shareen is responsible for all print and electronic materials, including the website, newsletter articles and marketing materials. She manages the design and content of all print, radio and television advertising, coordinates the FloridaWorks Communications Committee, and handles press releases and media inquiries.

Shareen is actively involved with Alachua County Emerging Leaders (ACEL). She currently serves as the Interim Chair of the Community Relations Committee, member of the Marketing and Communications Committee and member of the Professional Development Committee. She is also a member of Leadership Gainesville Class 39.

President / CEO  - Pam Whittle

As the President / CEO of North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce, Pam serves as local businesses representatives for Bradford, Union and SW Clay Counties. She promotes, informs and educates local businesses on the services available to them through the Chamber and FloridaWorks. In doing so, Pam assists businesses with their employment needs. 

Chief Financial Officer – DeAnna Adams

As the North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce Chief Financial Officer, DeAnna oversees all aspects of the finances. This includes the financial accounts and records, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchases and human resources.  Other responsibilities include budget planning, preparation of all financial reports, compiling job orders requests for employers, registering and maintaining FBAT records, and assisting in the organization and planning of informational forums for employers.

DeAnna is a Notary Public and a Certified Grant Writer. She is also the Main Street Program Manager for Main Street Starke, Inc. She is assistant to the Chamber CEO Pam Whittle in the Bradford Co. Economic Development Board and the Bradford County Tourist Development Council meetings.

Business Services Representative - Susan Brown Norman

As an Employer Services Representative for North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce, Susan works directly with employers to provide quality job postings on EmployFlorida.com and match qualified applicants to those jobs.  Through the orientation process, Susan develops relationships with employers, HR departments and business owners helping them to meet their hiring needs. In addition, she provides Correctional Officer/Police Exams and works with North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce to assist new businesses looking to come in to the area. Susan also works with MainStreet Starke during their annual events to provide additional exposure for FloridaWorks.
